We survived the Bermuda triangle

... but didn't manage to go to the beach which has pink sand apparently. Went back to the ship by ferry and it was good to get "home". Beautiful houses with white roofs and pastel coloured outsides, sometimes very bright colours as well. the waters are so clear even in the harbour where there are lots of boats and you would expect a bit of polution, there is none.
Left Bermuda at night and is was a pretty departure.

Just a newspaper

We didn't actually experience this day! The only way it exists to us is in the form of a UK newspaper we found in a little post office on the Island of Waiheke.

So if you did anything bad today, you're let off the hook.

(We weren't actually in Bermuda by the way)

Test Cruise

... The traffic at the terminal was terrible. Future reference note: get dropped off near by and walk over to the terminal. Somehow we missed the porters and got stuck carrying our luggage all the way through the check-in process. But, we didn't have to wait for our bags to get to our state room. We worked our way up to the Windjammer Cafe, stopping to get a soda card for the rest of the trip. Note: Only worth the 30.00 if you plan to drink lots of soda. Otherwise ...

Rocky start...but smoothing scooting now!

... with a group of 14 so we pretty much hang out all the time. The breakdown at PwC is something like UK, Canada, South Africa, Filipino and then American. Also there are a lot of couples who come to the island together. I was somewhat surprised to learn that but it makes sense to experience it with someone. I've been told that there are 1100 ...

Round the Island in a Day

... Much more metropolitan than St. George's, Hamilton is the hub of business and industry here, and looks much like any downtown area of a major U.S. city. A quick drive thru and we're on North Shore Road headed back to the West End of the island. By now, Michael is rolling through the roads like a pro, and my butt is pretty sore from sitting on this scooter seat all day and I'm ready to get off. Back at 9 Beaches, we freshen up ...

1-Week Cruise to Bermuda

... a pillory and a whipping post, and the crier was reenacting what might have happened 400 years ago. One person was a tourist and the other an actor. She was "charged" with being a gossip and nag. We got to see her being dunked in the water several times. We ran into the four others, who obviously didn't make it to the beach because of the rain. We all had a drink at the bar in the town square, White Horse Tavern, and then Tony and I headed ...

A grey day in Bermuda

... hand bookshop as well as an internet cafe, so we stocked up with books given the many sea days ahead. The rain had stopped by early afternoon so we walked some more and took a few pictures before deciding on taking the ferry back. It was much calmer and the journey across the bay was ok but you could see the many rocks around that made navigation here pretty tricky. We returned to the ship and as we did the sun came out so we enjoyed some late afternoon sun ...

To Be A Bermudian

I got to spend 5 days with KK in Bermuda. We shopped, ate out, went diving, swam in a cave, and made a few trips to Hamilton for the best Pad Thai of my life! Hurricane Wilma didn't allow me to get a fabulous tan, but the wind kept our jogging and daytime trips more comfortable. My plane was delayed 5-8 hours, but it was worth it to stay and have a nice dinner with KK, John and Tim.

The glow of bermuda

... last long as my battery stash is starting to look very sorry full! It was either last night or the night before i saw the glow of bermuda over the horizon to the north but didnt actually see any direct lights. I am finding it increasingly hard to keep track of days, im not sure if this is day 10, 11 or 12 and neither does jeff. Saying that it ...
