My time in Seoul with the Seoulites

Yes people who live in Seoul are called 'Seoulites' which I find funny but then I guess it's better than Seoulfuls or Seoulsons! It has been a marvellous time, and every tourist you meet will say Seoul, and Korea, are hidden gems, off the tourist radar, yet providing lots of tourist attractions, street signs and brochures etc in English as well and all students start English in first grade. In addition, Koreans realize that English is the language of travel and business and so adults are keen...

P.S. Til mor og far: Jeg havde...

Seoul Tower's inferiority complex

... behind us and then waited in the even longer line to go back down. It was a nice view from the top because it was a clear day and this is definitely worth doing as far as touristy trips go, but here's what I found amusing. There was a mural on a wall, I think it was at the base of the tower, inside, and it compared Seoul Tower's height to other famous towers in the world, like the Eiffel Tower, some tower in Barcelona, the Seattle Space Needle and so on, and of course ...

... complex, bridge of no return etc. could be seen. I tried to take some photos (not shown) but it didn't come out very good anyways.<br><br>We went to lunch afterwards, which wasn't as bad as I had read. Rather than getting bulgogi, I chose to get the bibimbap instead thinking they really cant get somethign like that wrong. I was right! After lunch, they took us to the third infiltration tunnel, one of four tunnels the North Koreans had ...

Using prejudice against me

... than get upset and take it personally I brushed it aside and decided to make the most of my extra time off. And after all, I was still getting paid!<br><br>I made my way up to Seoul and out to the Gupabal metro station before jumping on bus 704 for 10 minutes to get to the start of my walk. My aim for the glorious sunny day was to reach the summit of Baegundae, the parks highest peak at 836m. I got a little help at the beginning ...

... classes, ranging in ages 7-11 and with various abilities. They are really good though!!!! Kids are like sponges and can pick up on things so easily. In Korea, education is really important and they abide by a rigorous schedule. Children, beginning when they are 6 or 7, go to school from 9-3 and then have afterschool English classes, additional math and science classes, and possibly piano lessons or tae kwon do. They usually get home around 7pm ...

I want to re-learn how to play the guitar

... it...apparently it was from her mother and it said that Stella really likes me and enjoys it when I make eye contact with her! Weird, but I guess eye contact is a big deal in a classroom with ten other kids. I was so happy! Elena and I met up with Kerri last night and a bunch of her friends. We went to dinner and then to the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.....it was wonderful! It really made me want to learn a new how to play something....cello, piano maybe ...
