I tell you they are a beautiful tree with a high canopy and streaks of sunlight coming through, you can see the mounds left by the moles, the leaves rustle and move with the breeze, the toadstools and mushrooms everywhere, you almost think your in Narnia or the Spiderwick Chronicles. caught the train back to the Rathaus for the same lunch as yesterday and then
strolled back to our room via the city malls and shops - no damage done. We
were back by 3.15 pm for a little R & R then off for tea at 6.30 pm.

... metro pass. Just love it. Madeleine's German came back with surprising speed. While she said she felt a bit rusty, it certainly didn't show. For dinner, Madeleine and Paul had the Hamburg Labskows while Roger and I opted for the conservative pan fried (?) sole. We'd been warned that the Labskaus didn't look appetising but was delicious. Mashed potato mashed in with corned beef and beets, served with a fried egg on top, and pickled herrings on the side. Who could ask for more?
