... on Church (which funnily enough was surrounded by churches. Go figure.) Got to visit a beautiful library and Starbucks whilst waiting for the accommodation emails to come through. Had great pleasure in cancelling our 3 nights’ accommodation at the two star hotel, which was the same price.
Dinner at home. It felt so good to relax in the apartment and get some clothes washing done.
Ventured out for an evening ...
... to a very nice young lady, and we told her why we always gave to them-I was born in Portland Oregon at the Salvation Army Unwed Mothers Home!! They had cookies and cider and a 3 person singing group—Just a nice set –up. After getting my food the gal asked if she could take our pictures and she did an interview of us! ... be lost. They lived on the second floor and the parks used the lower level for storage. We talked with him a long time and enjoyed it all. Then off to do chores, bank, groceries, pick up photos, get some OTC meds, pick up laundry and finally home. ... and pancakes for breakfast-a good start for the day. It is even sunny out, though may not last till tomorrow. We decided to visit the 'Moving Wall’, a ½ size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Wall in WDC on its short stay in Malden. It was very impressive and sobering!
