... Map. Cali, our calico, is happy to see us home.
Fairfield, California, United States stevegarson... s in the TRUNK, let me get it for you". At this he allowed me to exit the car and go to the trunk with him. When I opened it up all he could see was cases and plastic bags from the Vegas outlets.
He could see that this was going to be a massive task and he might miss the next donut run, so handed me back my license and said "Look, just get back in your car and merge into the lane and be on your way. And don't cross the yellow lines." I explained to him that ...
... 2 pm. Take I-80, I-680, 237, and arrive Sundowner Inn at about 3:15 pm.
A lovely day -- with an easy drive out to Sacramento, a good day visiting Sac State (which is a very pretty campus, especially this time of year, with the leaves changing), then an easy drive home. Definitely a long day, and I was exhausted by the end of it, but not a bad one at all.
... us correct change and even accept our larger bills. He would always try to understand our broken Hindi. On the last night I had an extra 100 Rs and I went to him to get a soda (we would be leaving to early in the morning for him to be open). I purchased a sprite for the morning to calm my nerves and paid for the 20 Rs soda with 100Rs (2 dollars). I told him to keep the change, in broken Hindi, I was not coming back to India, ever. He wouldn ...
Davis, California, United States heatherandrew... like i stand in the Walnut Creek BART every morning..nothing new. I could buy the ticket without thinking an hour in front of the ticketmachine:)) Though the drive to Davis lasted about an hour it was enough to have a shart intresting and fun conversation with Bill. Though his late middleage he sounded youthful..and that's one of the adjectives i apriciate while aging.. understanding and remembering how it was to be young. He dropped me off right in front ...
Davis, California, United States rambler... has changed. Everything feels the same, I could have been gone only a week. Thinking about the trip now it just seems like a dream. Did I really go to all those places, meet all those people, and explore all those lands? I have the credit card bills to prove I did, but what did I really do there? I'd like to think I've learned a little more about life and the world and hopefully changed (for the better). I hope I've gained more understanding and patience, to ...
Davis, California, United States superval... because we needed the background on the castle before we went up the hill. The tour was great, I only hope I get back there so we can see more of the house next time. The views from the top of the hill were incredible. After the tour we stopped off along the coast to see some of the Elephant Seals basking in the sun. These were a lot more active ...
Davis, California, United States kare1322... up Alpine Meadows on powder days with John and Heather. lalalala means I love you! I'll miss morning bike rides in the summer with the triathlon team. These people give a whole new meaning to the word crazy. I'll miss family dinners at grandma's house. Everyone else in my family may be anti-vegetables, but grandma always makes a vegetarian casserole for me. I'll miss my other "family" this ...
Davis, California, United States planettammy... through China Town & on to Fisherman's Wharf which is the cheesy end of San Francisco's tourist market & then walk back via some of the many hills that make up the San Fran sky line. We finally got round to doing the walk the following day. It was Sunday which meant that the shops were shut when we arrived in China Town - but not being keen shoppers this didn't really matter & anyway we wandered off the main streets where we were soon the only ...
