Yet another moving moment (I've changed): Hearing the evening prayer call while looking at the Blue Mosque light up at night from our hotel's rooftop terrace. I've tried to attach a video file and it seems to be working. It is very big though (70MB) and you'll need VLC.

Dragonboat Race!

... final was mixed between country teams and actual ones, but we're not sure.

The final race was set to go. I was filming on the sidelines with Nathan and Chrissy providing commentary. They started off strong, but we could tell that the endurance wasn't there anymore. Unfortunately we placed 4th in the heat. But 4th in the final with no prior dragonboat experience is not half bad.

Overall, an amazing experience that we all enjoyed. So much fun and a great day.

... an hour wandering around the rooms. In some rooms the walls were draped with antique persian carpets, which of course I loved. Other rooms had beautifully decorated (and also old) Korans. There were a lot of ceramics, and paintings as well. It was a very well done museum.

Walking out of the Museum of Islamic Arts led us directly to the old Hippodrome which was being renovated. It was difficult to see where the hippodrome was, and where the chariot ...
