We were supposed to go on another train that was to go on to the Torroko line and across the Usui Viaduct. 20 minutes before we arrived, Takako had confirmed with them that we were taking the 1pm train. However, when we got there, the train had developed a fault and the trip had to ...

... on the grill in your table. It's pretty fun and yummy. We stopped for a quick drink at a cute little bar in town where I saw that they had a magazine that is made in Portland called Kinfolk. As we were browsing through it, we saw our friend Greg Hennis featured in one of the pictures. Small world!

On Saturday, we ventured back to Tokyo but again the weather was really hot. I ...

... to hit the Tsukiji fish market, the largest one in the world. It is definitely a sight to see. You have to be careful though because despite the large number of tourists, it is a working fish market and the fishermen can't have you standing around getting in the way. At the edge of the market are some tiny restaurants (maybe 10 seats each) where you can get the freshest sushi ever. It is very popular so you have to wait in line, but since we were there early, we didn't ...
