... 380;yć słuchawki i posłuchać team radio.

We did the usual disembarkation and re-boarding to go through security in Nagoya. I threw the Japanese quarantine inspectors into a tizzy. I saw there was no line for the security checkpoint and didn't see them at the far end of where the line normally is, so I jumped the barrier and almost violated their quarantine. The decided I didn't have swine flu and let me through. I had only a few minutes between when I got to the gate and we started to board.
... attraction there is Ise-Jingu, the most venerated Shinto shrine in Japan. It's where the imperial family conducts their spiritual business and is separated into 2 parts: the outer shrine Geku and the inner shrine Naiku. Geku is is the more accessible, but also the less impressive. Both are located in the woods and has a nice relaxed feel despite the tons of tourists there today (even on Wednesdays, I guess). Both have ...
Ise, Kinki, Japan mchaoLast night, Eva, Alex and I headed to an English pub so that Eva could talk to some expats about English teaching. It was so trippy to be in a building that was completely in English. It seemed like a world away from the Neon filled street outside. It was a most amusing, if unproductive evening, but we were treated with the priceless entertainment of an exceedingly enibriated stick thin girl, who oozed the definition of Eurotrash, and her Japanese ...
Nara, Japan woundedsoldier... Fires and earthquakes have destroyed it several times, so the head and body are slightly different colours as they date from different incarnations as it were. Around Todai-ji and many of the other historic temples we found hordes of Japanese schoolchildren on educational trips. They are all kitted out in uniforms and bright red, yellow or blue hats to avoid them getting lost. We were approached by a small group of nervous looking eleven-year-olds who said hello and ...
Nara, Japan sianandjim... signed it for us, WOW!
We also had our very own admirer! In Kyoto, we were told to go to a bar called the CAAM bar, a very cool and funky little place, but unfortunately, quite empty. We went there 3 o 4 times, each time, chatting with the cute owner who by the last night was saying to us "I see you every day, I'm a lucky man!". But best quote has to be, as we were saying good bye for the last time "I look forward to your next coming"!!!! Errrr, yeah ...
... a number of beans equal to your age plus one (up to 30) for good luck. Sometimes people decorate a tree in front of their house with stinky things like garlic and sardines as an added measure of protection against Oni. Another tradition that originated in my area but has now spread involves eating an entire role of uncut sushi without saying a word to bring more luck. For Setsubun, I headed with a small group of friends to Nara. Nara was Japan's first Imperial Capital ...
Nara, Japan mearal01... Kummeli and Studio Julmahuvi to Japanese students, and then have them fill out a survey. Unfortunately none of these shows has been subtitled in English, so I`ve been forced to do the subtitles myself. Otherwise life in Japan hasn´t been anything out of the ordinary. I´ve been to karaoke on several occasions, and have been planning a trip to Tokyo around Christmas. The tickets for the shinkansen (bullet train ...
Kyoto, Japan myrri... went to Fushimi Inari Shrine. It has thousands of shinto gates, and there`s actually a path up to the mountain that is entirely made of the shinto gates. The path is 8 km so we didn`t feel like going all the way, but anyways, took nice pictures, and now I can say I`ve pretty much covered all the major attractions in Kyoto. On Sunday (which is today) I was planning on going to Osaka, but the weather is bad, and my tutor has a head-ache, and the digital ...
