We spent two relaxing days in a beach front room at lake Malawi. Craig did two dives which he really enjoyed and I went snorkelling. Diving and snorkelling feels very different in fresh water. Craig found it very weird to dive without a weight belt! The beautiful fish were amazing, so many they don't sell in pet shops in Australia. From here we drove for two days to Dar-Es-Salaam, the last day we drove for 16 hours, it took us nearly seven hours to get through the traffic ...

... of Wonders is one of the most well-known landmarks of Stone Town. It was built in 1883 and restored after the Anglo-Zanzibar War of 1896. Formerly the Sultan's residence, it became the seat of the Afro-Shirazi Party after the revolution. It was the first building in Zanzibar to have electricity as well as the first building in East Africa to have an elevator. Back to our hotel by 2:00 for lunch and a dip in the ocean, which today feels ...

... dodge - carefully jumping off the boat to avoid the jelly fish and people as we jumped in!

Lunch was basic - some rice with a delicious coconut curry and some really smelly fish! We were so hungry that we ate everything….and after a short stop, we were back on the boat headed back to our hotel.

When we got back, we relaxed pool side. Apeksha attempted to edit some blog entries, while I just relaxed and watch ...

... from the air. We have had fantastic flights with the local airlines, all running to time, zero cancellations & new planes. The Dar airport is definitely not luxurious & we wind through the back offices to find international check in. We are offered admittance for two to the Tanzanite Lounge, which the door attendant kindly stretches to four. We enjoy a final G & T, samosa & air-conditioned space before our final flights.

... now but this still did. Considering there are no doors to close on this so called bus it was the most dangerous form of public tanspot I think I've seen. That is other than the boda boda motorbike taxis taking home drunk people in the middle of the night who can't walk let alone balance on the back of a bike with no helmet.

Anyway... I got back to Nungwi, with my cash and unharmed. The most difficult thing I found about travel here in Zanzibar was that it was so ...
