On the move again and this time a long haul to Konya on our way to Capadoccia. We stop for lunch on the way more out of need for a loo than food but find ourselves in a pretty classy restaurant halfway down a mountain. That evening a group of us headed up to the castle ruins over looking the city and enjoyed a leisurely sunset stroll down while stopping for dinner at an outdoor restaurant.

Before it started we walked around a bit and realised that the hotel isn't in Antalya at all, it's on the coast where the road turns inland to go over the mountains to Cappadocia, a place called Alara and in fact is over half way to Alanya, which is where we stayed when we first came to Turkey some 40 years ago. I think it's changed a ...

Barely hit the ground and it's been amazing. Yesterday went to Alayna and visited an 11th Century castle on a high rocky area surrounded on 3 sides by the Mediterranean Sea. Pretty cool. Fellowship with my friends has been the best. Some great convos just being together. Living life as it is. Hearing stories about living in a foreign land. Listening to dreams and just hanging out. Simply ...

... with a few locals and tourist. The sea was very flat and I swam out about 50 metres. I wish I had my googles as the water was so clear.

We had a lovely evening biking about 1 km to the evening craft market and then to a nice Turkish restaurant to enjoy our last evening together in Kestel. The evening was still warm when we biked back and now to pack for an early start ...
