Today I finally went to the Huangshan Mountains (Shan=Mountain in Chinese). I departed from the hostel together with some other Chinese tourists and two French tourists. We took the first bus from the hostel to Tangkou, from there we had to take another bus in order to go to the cablecare which would take us up. When we arrived in Tangkou I had actually no idea what to do next, I knew what I planned to do, which route ...

The actual hike itself is not as tough as Huashan Mountain, the stairs are less steep and much less scary, despite this though I'm still out of breath and sweating like crazy, guess my fitness level still needs to improve a bit but it sure is fun to be hiking again especially on such a beautiful ...

... too good an opportunity to pass up so I booked the tour; especially since in my room I had met a couple who had just spent a night on the mountain and they said it was amazing. Once the tour had been booked and I had asked the hostel to help buy my train ticket to Shanghai I then went to the city centre which was their old street to buy snacks for the hike the next day and to get my dinner. The old street was really cool, I loved how the buildings looked like they just ...
