We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.

Ningbo is a lovely city, built on 5 rivers, so was a trading post and from the hotel room you can watch the barges go up and down the river. There are loads of fantastic bars and restaurants and it is now quite trendy.

I went to the fitness center to sign up so that I can have something to do during the day that will also boost my serotonin levels (which I desperately need). The personal trainer there did not speak English and my difficult day became even more difficult. My host ...

... People honk at us so much because apparently, we're always in the way. I must admit that it is pretty scary crossing the street here and the man who walked me to Alex’s home got a good laugh while watching me run spastically across the street. It's pretty weird how Chinese cities are. On one block you have a completely westernized mall and then on the next you have a narrow alleyway filled with street venders, vespas, and people begging for money. I guess ...
