Christmas was really nice. I knew when I left home in March that I would be away for Christmas, at the time I thought I'd be in the blazing heat and sunshine of southern Thailand. ... fairly painless experience but totally cringe at the same time. Then we had to record a video message for the other au pairs in other parts of China to be played at their Christmas party, but not content with a group one, we had to film individual videos according to nationality! So the 4 of us English au pairs had to film one, the Germans filmed one and the Hungarian and Italian got lumped together. It was really weird.
