The long day of driving included several encounters with slowed traffic and construction. We finally arrived in Gettysburg. We decided to drive through town to see what eating establishments were still open - trying to avoid the quick burger & fries menu. We ended up in the park and decided to go see the Eternal Flame. 22nd Sept cont.

As it was getting late, we parked up in Gettysburg's Walmart car park, only to discover signs saying we could only stay for 2 hours during the night. However, after checking in Walmart, we were told it was ok. So we parked up and had beans/spaghetti on toast with sausage and bacon followed by pancakes & 100% maple syrup, (don't worry mum, we'll try and save you some), and then settled in, watching an episode of Hustle and then to bed.
