We had a great trip overall, but the weather was cold and the campsite was loud.

... each regiment sustained. Many of the deaths that did occur were either from infection due to wounds or from diseases that spread in close quarters.
We were able to get an overview of the battle lines. Standing in areas which some part of the battle took place was very somber and sobering. Knowing that many soldiers had died on these areas (some very young) and that friends were often found on opposing sides was heartbreaking.
