We had a great trip overall, but the weather was cold and the campsite was loud.

We were able to get an overview of the battle lines. Standing in areas which some part of the battle took place was very somber and sobering. Knowing that many soldiers had died on these areas (some very young) and that friends were often found on opposing sides was heartbreaking.
It was time to set out into the real world again and we decided to make a stop in Gettysburg before heading out to Washington D.C. Less than an hour into our ride, the weather takes an unfortunate turn for the worse. That's a nice way of saying it begins to rain hard, making our ride unpleasant for the next four hours.
