Hainan - Transit in Haikou
... I disliked having sweaty t-shirt sticking to my back. I visited Qilou Old Street (奇楼老街) to start off the day, which was a short 15 minutes' walk to the main island from the hostel. Faw'cha, FAW'CHA, FAAWWW'CHA.
... You can imagine our concern when he was driving in the opposite direction to the sign that said train station, but we assumed that this was because there was two stations, both a fast train and a slow train and that he was taking us there.

Robbed and scammed and still alive

Haikou
... safe for the pedestrian. Bikes, motorbikes and cars drive up and down the pavements like it's another lane for their convenience. Xi'an was one of the worst places for that, where cars would suddenly mount the kerb and park in front of you, or you would hear a horn, turn around, and realise that you were being followed down the sidewalk by a 4x4.
Those are all my impressions of Haikou. Next stop: Wuzhishan.
