We travelled from Santiago along the coast stopping at a lighthouse with fabulous views of the coast. This town is mostly a holiday destination. We tried the pintos of jambon (prosuito) & tomato, the ham in Spain is fabulous. Our tour around Oviedo included a church, San Julien de los Prados, with pre Roman frescos, about 30% are were original & untouched. A bit sad really that they are not protected in some way, as there are tours daily & it is beside a highway, I ...

My last night was perfect except that it was missing luke and Zak, my two loves. Zak is someone I am sure I will see again but Luke I may very well never see again. It's hard and I do miss them, but it's a part of life accepting that sometimes people are only meant to make small appearances in life to teach you something and then in a moment they are gone. ...

Back on line.....

... 8221; (for want of a
better word) a rather awkard night with the swell rolling in ever so
gently which reminded us of Alderney and Dale (Pembrokeshire) where
we would roll and come to an abrupt halt with a squeak of the ropes
and the rub of the fenders against the pontoon (except in Alderney
where there was no pontoon just an abrupt halt). At least we got a
decent sail in the day before and did not have to pay for the berth.
