    Getting
    down this pass just seemed to go on forever but finally after about 30 or so km
    I finally arrived at the town of St Peter which told me I was getting near the
    motorway to Bolzano. However I just went on following the satnav and then
    realised I had set it up to avoid the motorway and take me over yet another
    single track road pass through the town of Kastelruth.

    On 9/26 we again deviated from our original plans in order to travel back Guarda to see the festivities involved in bringing the cows down to lower pastures for the winter.     ... but all we found was an isolated dwelling where we could buy cheese and hot tea. We ended up hiking a loop back to Ardez, then taking the train to Scuol.
