Richard had written out a list of things to see and do. Our plan was to get up and be out of the house by 9:30am. Well it was a good plan but we actually did not get moving until 11am. The first thing on the list was to go to the tourist information centre and get ourselves a Stockholm card. Richard was going to play tourist with me! We missed the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace, so our first stop was City Hall. City Hall is a pretty new building, designed to ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden monkeytoes... picked up our luggage and headed for the center of Budapest to the Ibis Hotel. The Harper’s found a much cheaper way to get into town which was by bus and metro. It cost less than $2 and was almost just as easy as with the mini-van that was more like $15 or so.
After checking in we went to a restaurant down the street that we had originally met with the ...
... in Stockholm for the night and checked in. I went off for free sauna while leah went to the supermarket which was one of the more different supermarkets that I have ever been into (the frozen food section dividing the lines for the check out - what the?!?). Free pasta for tea but as it turned out everything was free. We scored the advertised free pasta from the hostel but in the 'give away' pile we ...
Stockholm, Sweden leahandgreg... up and the bouncer came straight up to us, asked if it was just the two of us, and let us in infront of everyone else. I like to think that we were dressed nice and rather handsome, but I have a feeling we looked like rich Americans. Either way I was happy! Long story short, I hate clubs but I loved the clubs in Sweden. I had never seen so many model hot women in my life. Definitely want to go back. The weather has also been ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden justinsaar... chill, the promenade... hours-long walk around the city in search of free hotel... At one point we thought that we were going to Denmark in the evening, but the cheers, the hotel is found, and not somewhere on the outskirts, on one of the central streets of the city))
Half day we spent in alcohol shops, in Stockholm their large quantity. Searched for beer for the Sergei's collection))) I also could not resist and bought three charming Californian bottles, which now adorn my kitchen)
My nth visit to Stockholm but the longest and the most memorable for now. Arrive on a spring time going into summer. This time, im here for an assignment, working with the CITND team. Working/supporting various MU/CUs was an experience, everyday is a new thing. Attended Body Pump sessions. Exactly the exercise that I ...
Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden strangerzero... stayed on the top deck until supper, and I followed Troy and Tom to the buffet. Their walk could have been something from a slapstick comedy routine. At one point Troy accidentally hit Tom with his crutch, and Tom turned quickly and almost pushed Troy down the stairs! Supper this evening, if you chose to go, was an all you can eat buffet for about 30 Euro. Although it sounds massively expensive, Scandinavia is expensive, a beer is at least 5 Euro on its ...
Stockholm, Sweden eltanner... few hours of wandering were pretty much frolicking about. The sea is even frozen. Oh and my favourite bit - they don't smoke everywhere, anywhere in fact, I am so over having smoke inflicted apon me on trains, in restaurants, in toilets, and smelling like an ashtray after going out anywhere. Loving the clean air. So anyway, gonna catch the next train/bus to Gem n Jimmy's....
Stockholm, Sweden jillsy... and wake-up calls), but the hotel does things like providing a refillable glass water bottle and no room service to keep prices low. My favorite part: the hotel is located in a very trendy party area of town so the breakfast/lunch buffet is open from 7am to 2pm so that people who go out at night can still take advantage of it when they wake up. Stockholm is a very beautiful city with many beautiful and friendly people. I would highly recommend a visit.
