You probably wouldn't go to Crevillent just to visit the town, its away from the coast so less busy, is a centre for carpet manufacture, is not too far from a good climbing crag, but does have a very good campsite and you can use the large swimming pool that is part of the hotel. Today's hike was billed by Bill as an easy one and indeed it was a lovely easy walk over 11KM with delightful views and company.

Ours was a small but happy group, Bill, Roger, Claire, Lars and myself enjoyed a nice pace covering the distance in less than 2 hours and 45 minutes with stops for a "banana break" and lunch.
