... the ridges. We could see some signs of the recent rainfall, there was some erosion and a few puddles of water...generally a rare sight in this part of Spain. Eventually we came to an old ruin where we stopped for lunch. Then we finished our hike, climbing back along the side of the ridge to complete the circle and return to our cars.

It was a great way to restart our walking program. Here are some photos of the day.

After months of recuperation today I was able to join the hiking group from the English Speaking Club. The group, lead by Bill walks twice a week, exploring hundreds of trails in the beautiful countryside near El Campello.

Today it was a small group. The weather looked threatening, but did nothing to deter us...we wanted to hit the trails!

We arrived at our destination which was about 4km from Castalla in the country. Auntie Julie's home is on a 1 hectare property with old olive trees. We also met Harry, Annettes husband who stay at Julia's house for 6 months and then 6 months in Holland. Their friends Paul and Janny were also their to share the eveing meal with us.
