Costa Pacifico Norte Santa Cruz, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, 362 1007, 2680-3000
... is the most developed Central American country by a long way, as it has followed a very Western path of development, helped a lot by the influence of America, but it has a national health service, full indigenous rights, and is one of only 2 countries in the world which does not have a national army. You can really see the American influence all around though, and coming from Nicaragua in ...
Santa Cruz, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica sarahhorley... and I just didn't want to spring for that. And not just because of the money. I sometimes wonder how safe it is for a woman traveling alone to go be on a private tour. And how much do I hate that thought! I really resent having to be worried about that. It turns out that the tour groups all came from La Fortuna 2 hours away. So I decided to book a tour from there and it ended up being half the cost. Go figure. And I'm ...

Santa Cruz, Costa Rica tanjahvid... ladies found the one with the slides last minute. We were wondering where they were as we had to leave since this group seems to be so prompt! We never saw the slides but that was ok. It was just nice to relax and sit under the stars as the rains came down lol We ate supper together at the Lava Lounge by the hotel we were staying in. The food was good and I think ... finally and thank god ... I think I got my ...
La Fortuna, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica lisatsen... its myriad of giant car eating potholes. We did the easy walk down to the base of the 70 m high waterfall and Luke decided to join some locals in a dip into the cool clear waters.

By the time we were ready to leave the waterfall the skies were once again threatening rain and soon the downpour began. The hike up the waterfall was considerable more difficult then the walk down however the steps were in pretty good shape and our only challenge was getting past a traffic jam ...
La Fortuna, Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica yyztrvlr... really hot and after walking around a little while we decided that we didnt want to go on the hiking tour. So after we got back to the hostel we were able to cancel our hike and get our money back. So we decided to lay out and swim for a little bit then hung out in the hammocks and decided later to go to the lava tour at 8. Which we were hesistant to do just because all the other people ...
La Fortuna, Costa Rica bell.costarica... is beautiful....rather good snorkling right there when the tide is high. The grounds are beautiful. I know Ryan and I are looking forward to going back and seeing Costa Rica from outside a resort. It definately served it's purpose for our wedding (really would recommend getting married this way), but we did feel that we didn't get to see what Costa Rica is really like. Our plan is to celebrate our 10 year anniversary there.
Liberia, Costa Rica amonro2... waterfall and a pool where everyone soaked (everyone was going ooooh...aaaaah they were so relaxed). The waterfall proved to be a great massager which I sorely needed after the mammoth travel 2 days ago. The litre of beer was gone pretty quickly by this time and me and Antoine and Anne-Marie could have quite easily stayed for longer but the others in the group were getting restless. Arrived back at the hotel just before 11 and was too shattered to go for dinner so after a hot ...
La Fortuna, Costa Rica rollsI forgot, there was a very annoying couple who joined our rappelling group tour, and the guy was ginger, long haired and so pathetic. He made awful jokes, one being when it came to the questionaire "is there a box for 'it sucks'? and then asked the tour guide, hey ...
