    ... is not allowed to travel to the Dam. There's a new bridge that now bypasses the Dam for the very purpose of taking traffic from the highway over the Dam itself. The Dam is an amazing feat of engineering and there's a fascinating museum and memorial to the workers. I'm seriously scared of heights so stayed away from the ledge. Very dizzying. Exploring the hotel more, we found other things that made us feel like we should save up our pennies to stay here a night or two in the future. in the main lobby a women was behind a table giving out free hot, fresh tea!     ... Whatthe? Anyway we finally found each other and settled into our room. After a quick shower and change if clothes we hit the town. We headed to the smorgasbord at the Monte Carlo ... WOW ....     ... in awe of how amazing it was. We were walking along the edge (with no barriers) for 2 hours and could not believe that something this size actually exists. It was huge! We also realised that we had driven past the Skywalk on the way to Sedona, as it was not on The South Rim as we had thought... bugger! We will have to get it on the way back. We watched the sunset into the Canyon, and then put our next destination into the sat nav. Oh... a very long way... ...
