The Rigorous Training of a Tour Leader
I arrived in Los Angeles early in the morning on Sunday, June 5th to start training the following day-a very special day in my life this year and every year. June 6th is the day my favorite person in the world, my Nanny (my Dad's Mother) passed away from cancer 11 years ago. I will always appreciate the things she did for me and she will forever be …

Goodbye Canada! I will miss you...
Five months, 7 ski resorts, tons of crazy accents, hardly any canadians, lots of snow, random wild animals (deer, squirrels, gophers, wolves and coyotes - although no bears or mooses :(), and a whole lot of fatty food pretty much sums up canadia! It seems so surreal that a whole five months has past since I have been anywhere near New Zealand... …

stayed for 2 nights prior to a trek america trip. Good location for the airport and easy to get there but not good if you want to use it as a base to explore LA if you're not driving. Clean and not too noisy but a little dated. good facilities on site for eating, drinking and right opposite a big store.

Historical Traveler Reviews Hacienda Hotel Lax Airport El Segundo
Good Value
Stayed a Sunday and Monday night, next door (close) parking for $5 a night, good restaurant, free paper in the morning. Lots of local places to eat nearby, shuttle to airport, price similar to a Motel 6. Clean rooms, and good towels.
Cable TV not very good, not much of a view.
Good value.
OK - at a pinch
I stayed in the Tower, prior to departing from LA to return to London. The entrance to the hotel is attractive, but the staff distant and not really interested. The room I stayed in was damp and depressing, the airconditioning non-existant, and the shower just about maanged luke warm water. I couldn't bring myself to eat in the hotel, if the room was representative, but just across the road are a range of cheap eating places selling a range of food from different countries.
I had no clue that a hotel can be as that bad
i was travling home (CANADA) after my vacation (Disneyland) as i was in the airpot in los angeles leving my flight got cancelled, so me and about 30 poeple were sent to this so called hotel, when i was infront about to enter this hotel it looked great but not fantastic. i checked inn, recieved my key to a room on the botom floor (which was almost underground, and was the farthest away from the lobby) .with no help i had to carry my bags all the way to the end of the hallway. when i entered the room the condition was undescribable. it reeked with the smell of pee, i had to close my nose if i actually wanted to survive. i opened the window/door, and turned on the air coondition wated for aprox. 20 minutes the smell did no go away, it turned out that the air condition did not work. i ran out the room went to the check in people and demanded for a different room. i went there entered and the room still stunk but i did not notice as much as the room before because the smell in the first room was WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
worse. so i had to turn on the air condition (which actually worked). the smell decreased and i was able to finally sleep. even if you have to pay money to enter a different hotel DO IT!!!!!!!
THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE WENT TO AND EVER WILL TO IN MY LIFE EVEN IN AFTER LIFE. you will regret entering this hotel. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Sleepless night
We stayed one night before leaving at 4:15am and were hoping for a good night sleep. We were wrong! We didn't need the alarm clock. Maybe it's the way the place is set up. We stayed in a room not far from the lobby. It had a nice couryard but I think it made everything echo because we could here everyone outside. We could also hear everything in the inside corridors, including the people who worked there! Hearing conversations on walkie talkies and their carts going through the halls all through the night is not pleasant! You expect noise at hotels but this was over the top! On a more postive note. The room was ok, we got a good rate for the park and fly and the shuttle service was decent. The lobby and outside areas seemed to be nice.
Nice Place
Stayed at the Hacienda several times. This is not by any mean the Four Seasons, but it is well kept and reasonable. They have a pool that is very maintained and the staff are friendly. It is a bit older than the hotels on Century blvd by the airport, but it's more accessible to seeing the city.
Good Hotel for overnight stay at LAX
A good place to stay overnight at LAX. We always find ourselves staying over for next day flight out as we live several hours from LAX. We do not seek any attractions, scene close to beaches or restaurants, just good evernight stay in a clean, fairly inexpensive place close to LAX. For us this is the place. We always find it reasonably priced, the shuttle runs frequently, the rooms are fine. For transit travelers like us, recommended.
Be afraid!
We stayed in the older, West tower section of this hotel and found it to be musty, run down and seedy. It was astonishingly loud even for an airport hotel. Look elsewhere!
Stay in the Tower
We found this hotel close to the airport but too far removed from attractions, beaches etc. With LA traffic it meant too much car time. There are two classes of rooms here. Our first room in the older section of the hotel was musty and run down with a tiny bathroom. We asked to be moved and were given a much nicer room in the Tower which is where the pool and gym are situated. The restaurant has a varied menu and the prices are average and so is the food. The breakfast service was slow. There are much better and more affordable restaurants close by. The pool is well maintained and nice. The staff is efficient -yes, friendly- no. The price is good and the maid service was excellent. If you need to be close to the airport a Tower room here is just fine.
Good for an airport hotel
This hotel was easy to find and very cute with an indoor courtyard full of greenery. Eat at the grill rather than the restaurant and you'll get an awesome meal in terms of quantity, taste and value. The rooms and beds are a little small but it's cheap and very cheerful so a good spot to spend the night before flying out of LAX.
Great Place to Stay
Stayed here after reading reviews at Travelocity.com. Hotel was easy to find on Sepulveda Blvd - close to airport and car rentals. Parked rental car in street at back to avoid $3.00 per day hotel charge.Hotel was very nice and rooms were clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet.
Heated pool and spa was great and the pool surrounds were very relaxing. Did not use the dining facilities.Only complaint was the knocking on the door at 7.00am by maids ready to clean the room. I forgot to put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign out after the first occasion and it happened the next mornming.Overall, a pleasurable and relaxing 3 night stay in readiness for the arduous 14 hour Pacific flight.
