... that the local tequila is incredibly good here. They have also discovered that the tequila shops give out free samples and now we can't walk past a shop without stopping.

Zach left this morning so we plan on getting the boat re-stocked and trying to take off towards La Paz in the morning. There are several anchorages on the way that we hope to stop at for a day or two and just relax after the craziness of Cabo.
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico kkstafford... very cool to get to see them so close to the boat. A group of three actually surfaced about 20 ft from the boat and then dove under the boat and surfaced on the other side. The water was so clear that we were able to see them as they went under the boat. It was a very cool thing to get to see. We also got to see a few sea turtles along the way. One was just cruising along with a little fish right under it, like they were buddies and just ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico kkstaffordPhenominal weather at the most beautiful port in all of Mexico.

We rode in on a tender and then took a water taxi tour of the rocks. Cost us about $16 each (plus tip). Went wtih 3 other people - Anthony (from previous cruises) was getting a ride to the beach. There was one other Atlanits guest (we forgot to ansk his name) and a woman from one of the other cuiseships (Carinal Splendor and Celebrity Infinity were both in port as well ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico peterhbudd... Once again, nothing fancy, no AC, just fans and open air. There was a mural on the wall of a giant schooner with a beer bottle emptied into it and left in the schooner. It said it's contents were tequila, beer, mother's milk (I'm not sure what that meant) and other goodness. Maro went on to share with us the fact that some one from either Napa or Orange County, I forget which, has successfully drank 12 of these monsters. I ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico travelnfood... in Cabo is under construction, with an opening date of December 1 – if anyone is thinking about going to Cabo, this promotion really is a great way to save some money. Just go to www.thehotelofyourdreams.com and write a review of what kind of hotel room you would like to stay in. Hopefully see some people down Mexico way!
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico anacristina... strong Peso has devalued 30% from it's high last August - which means 30% off everything in the country.
That being said the Hotel Barcelo chain has always proven to be one of the best in my experience as well for a great all around all-inclusive experience. I’m looking forward to the opening of a new location in Los Cabos in December. The promotion they are running is good for 45% off any reservation with the hotel having ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico francescaarianothe internet connection here is flaky at best. who knows if I'll even be able to post this today.. yesterday was a bust! Anyway... Yesterday (12/30) Gina and I decided to catch the bus for the 20 mile trip into Cabo San Lucas, the fabled party town of Baja. As instructed we braved the main road running across four lanes of traffic to a concrete overhang where other "seasoned" tourists had gathered to await the blue/green regional bus that showed up every ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico seattleman... speakers so its pretty hard to ignore, let alone sleep. Apparently if you press all the buttons above you randomly not only does it not mute the sound, a red light comes on (which stayed on for the entire trip as I couldn't turn it off, despite further button mashing) and people look at you funny. As you can guess the audio is in Spanish too, so even when it's a half decent film like Spiderman or something you have these appalling dubs. More of this forced ...

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico travelgirlmex... it's snowing and blustering cold. Here the sun shines warm and bright, without a cloud in the shy, the roar of the surf is a lullaby, and our Beaches and Bars road trip has only just begun. The sense of relaxation is almost audible. Enduring the 27-hour bus ride, and two days of the over-priced and tacky tourist trade in San Lucas, and the grumbling, whining, aggressive Gringo accents, all this has been worth it for two hours on Divorce Beach.
