Hacienda Del Sol Playa de las Americas

These apartments are ideally situated within walking distance of both Playa Las Americas and Los Cristianos. The staff are friendly and these is a small underused restaurant. However the apartments and whole complex needs updating and refurbishing. The tiles in the bathrooms are dark and dingy and often many tiles are broken. Our shower was not secured to wall properly. The outside walls had peeling paint and plaster. Beds were not comfotable. I am sure this complex could be brought back to its former glory with not too much expenditure. Location and good staff are its assets.

Diese Apartments liegen in gehbarer Reichweite von Playa Las Americas und Los Cristianos. Die Angestellten sind freundlich und es gibt ein kleines, ungenutztes Restaurant. Die Appartements und der Komplex müssten aber dringend renoviert werden. Die Fliesen im Bad sind dunkel und düster, viele sind bereits gesprungen. Unsere Dusche war nicht sicher an der Wand befestigt. An den Außenwänden pellte die Farbe und der Putz herunter. Die Betten waren nicht komfortabel. Ich bin mir sicher, dass man den Komplex ohne zu viel Geld in sein altes Antlitz zurückwandeln kann. Die Lage und die Angestellten machen das Haus aus.

Booked the Hacienda on the strength of reviews on tripadvisor, and a good price from Alpharooms! We were there as a group of ten blokes on my stag do, but the hotel is suited to most travellers and seemed to consist of young and old couples and groups. The location is excellent for Nightlife, being a few minutes walk from Veronicas etc, but far away enough to be quiet. Couples note that the Studios are twins, and you can't push the beds together ;-), so go for an Apartment, which is a Studio plus a bedroom and includes a huge balcony. All in all an excellent stay and well worth the money.

Hatten das Hacienda wegen all der guten Bewertungen auf TripAdvisor und dem guten Preis über Alpharooms gebucht! Waren insgesamt 10 Männer auf einem Junggesellenabschied, dass Hotel schien aber für jeden etwas zu sein und viele andere junge Menschen waren hier. Die Lage ist für das Nachtleben super, weil man nur ein paar Schritte von Veronicas, etc. entfernt war, aber noch weit genug weg, damit es schön ruhig ist. In den Studios stehen zwei Einzelbetten, die man nicht zusammen schieben kann ;-), Paare sollten also lieber ein Apartment, dass ein Studio plus ein Schlafzimmer mit riesigem Balkon ist, mieten.

Waren in diesem Jahr in diesem, von Kakerlaken belagerten Haus. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Zimmer sehr einfach, zwei einzelne Betten und ein Klappbett. Konnten uns kaum nur mit der Mikrowelle versorgen, hatten Wasserkocher..aber keinen Herd. Das Zimmer wurde nur zwei Mal in der Woche geputzt, inkl. frischer Handtücher!! Bin mehrere Male durch Kakerlaken aufgewacht, die in meinem Bett und über meinen Körper gekrabbelt sind. Der Poolbereich wurde ein, zwei Mal in 14 Tagen nass gespritzt. Habe schon in anderen Hotels der Gegend gewohnt und habe noch nie etwas derart Ekelhaftes erlebt. Die Angestellten waren sehr gut.

We stayed at this cockroach infested hotel this year. The food was very good.

The rooms were very basic, two singles and a camp bed. Hardly self catering with a microwave, kettle, hob. We had no oven. The room is only fully serviced twice a week!! Including towel change!!

I woke up on several occasions with cockroaches crawling on my body and in the bed.

The pool areas were hosed down once in a fortnight.

I have stayed in other areas/hotels on these islands and have never experienced anything so filthy and disgusting.

The staff were very good.

Myself (28y/o), sis (19 y/o) and mum have just returned from a week at the Hacienda Del Sol. The appartments were basic (like all of them are), but had all the essential items that you need on a typical holiday, oh yeah, apart from a bar of soap.

It is very centrally located. Daytime, you are about 5mins leisurely walk to the beach, enough restaurants there to keep you occupied for a month and enough watersports there also.

You are within literally a stone throws from 'Starco's' (bar/club area), however, there is no noise emanating from the bars/clubs to these appartments when the area is in full swing, even when the doors/windows are open.

The only concern i have was that it does get very lively at night, do not leave your windows open here at night mainly around the 3am/5am ish, which is when most party people stagger home and start shouting/screaming/singing and other nocturnal night noises start to happen.

The constant door slamming got a bit annoying especially at night, for some reason some people seem to not know how to close a door, everytime a door shut, i and the others seemed to get their sleep disturbed.

I would only recommend this place to young people, singles & groups, if you intend to party hard throughout the night. However, this place is definately not a place if you are going as a family and appreciate some sleep at night.

Having spent 7 nights at the Hacienda Del Sol I'm pleased to say how friendly the staff were and how ideal the location was. Thus saying it was a lads holiday that I was on, however there were numerous couples of all ages staying here. Nights are lively so if you are after a quiet night this isn't the place for you. Overall the appartment was clean, tidy and spacious. The cleaner visted daily and were very friendly. I booked independently and found the accomodation very much value for money.

I think that people do forget that these apartments are actually 2 star!! Now im not that used to staying in 2star apartments but I was suprised!!

Our room was spacious with a bedroom, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and a huge balcony!! It was always kept clean by the maid that came in everyday, with clean towels, bedding etc...

The pool isnt the biggest in the world but there was enough space around with a pool bar that sold great cocktails!!

The apartments are literally over the road from the central nightlife. However the noise cannot be heard from the apartments which was suprising considering we slept with the doors and windows open!!

The people who work there are great!!

Definately give the Hacienda a go I guarentee you will not be disappointed..

ignore the bad reviews on this apartment site as we have just returned and found the rooms clean but basic, pool and bar area clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpfull especially anton the nigh redceptionist. overall we had a fab stay well worth the money although i think it is for young people and people out for a fun and exciting time.
