        Fun fact about the Spanish Canary Islands. They are closer to Africa than they are to Spain. One of the Islands is also the birth place of that language composed seulement of whistling! Very Very cool!

        ... rest of the week with the thought that we had the car so it could be anywhere on the island since we weren't dependant on bus routes. As it turned out we ended up in the exact same town we had lunch in the day before! The hotel was actually just a room in an all inclusive resort so on the plus side there was a pool and lots of activities but on the negative side it was pretty smelly and we did have a bit of a cockroach incident*.         Burger King at the airport - yes to a Whopper! Then aboard our flight. Had great sunset views with the volcano: El Teide sillhouetted against the back drop and the clouds falling away beneath us. A perfect end to a perfect trip. Our first together, but hopefully not our last.
