Spent another night on a parking lot near the city centre. When trying to find a decent place to park our van near all the sights, we got caught up in a lybyrinth of narrow streets, filled with cars (sometimes even in the middle of the crossings...). Well, Boštjan is a very good driver, but my nerves are not as good as I thought.

With the help of a security guard at a bank in one of the ...
Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain moki_travels... Zaragoza is missing something ... it's missing that special something that all Spanish towns seem to have.

I finished up my meal, and sat around for 10 minutes debating whether or not to have some gelato, which the cafe seemed to do a very good job of, just based on appearance. The gelato lost, because I was feeling like absolute ****, and eating something cold would not have been any good for the chills I was suffering from.

Back to ...
Zaragoza, Aragón, Spain and Canary Islands pwong... short ones. We are on our way to Zaragoza on the west side of Spain.

We go through farm land, then fruit orchards, we couldn't figure out what they grown, but there are lots of fruit packing plants along the highway. I kept thinking there would be fruit stands somewhere, but they never materialized.

At lunch time we stopped at a rest area along the highway. It is quite warm, but the clouds are ...

Saragossa, Aragon, Spain davebren... local shops, we went down with another kiwi Ron who said it was the local Mitre 10. Camp site had freezing cold showers, you had to pay 20dirham (2euro) for a hot one so we just stuck with a cold one, everybody seemed to catch up on there washing. One of the women on the truck got mugged had a knife held to her throat and lost 500dirham (50euro)and her video camera and camera so not very great but it just shows that you cant go walking by your self and have your wallet out and ...
Spain, Portugal, West Africa, Spain kirstenian... up for getting right amongst it with my second family, that of Elena, that treat me with such generosity, warmth, kindness and love its hard not to find it overwhelming at times and also later the dreading big 30th party with the other tribe that make Zaragoza such a joy to be here, all of Elena's friends, whom again are so great to be with its seems stupid to affiliate them with the prefix Elena when i say friends. Top top people... really open, friendly and genuine, in ...
Zaragoza, Aragón, Spain and Canary Islands elrigster... years old built of dry fit stone and stil standing: From Zaragoza we travelled ,ore easterly toward Lleida Catalan. Amongst the ochre coloured rocks and mist blue with mountain ranges were immense wind farms. Turbines and tozers several hundreds of feet high. Onward our lovely 1 litre Fiat Punta purred toward LLieda.
Lliedia, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands hollingers... have said that without delving into Medieval history but I just got a little carried away and I can't be bothered to delete all that now I've written it. I then went down to the wonderfully painted Bull fighting arena, again closed for the season, and the square next to it that apparently has quite a bloody history. The French attacked the city in 1808 and a group of local women picked up their knives and slaughtered a group of French cavalry in the ...
Zaragoza, Spain englishanddrunk... I was planning on meeting up with my host sister but there were so many people I could not find her at all. So I hung out with my new guy friends for a bit then went home at about 4am. My host sister called me at 4 and asked where I was and I was like "I'm at home," and she was like "but I just got here!" The Spanish going-out schedule is SO different the U.S. going out schedule. I don't know. It's crazy. Okay it's comida time and I'm STARVING so I'm off. Adios!
Zaragoza, Spain vholmes09... of Spain. We all forgot how late it was, as we were all together, dancing the night away, with laughter in our eyes. The alcohol was also constantly flowing from the open bar. Before long, I felt so exhausted that I decided to abandon the vampirish lifestyle of returning home at the break of dawn. I took the 4:30 bus with Nathalies, Isaac, and Gentiana. The rest of the Houston and Mississippi group courageously stayed back until the sun rose. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2006 ...
