This afternoon I went to the 'Top of the world' or just to the top of the Burj Khalifa, the worlds tallest building. I say just, because, like the London Eye and I suspect the. Eiffel Tower it was completely overrated and underwhelming. It was impressive that you were transported 124 floors up, over 800m in a minute but that was i. We walked down to the Crown Plaza on the way to the station, the heat is unbelievable and really unpleasant, it just too hot, we learnt that it got to 48 degrees this day! Like a college backpacker :). He made some good couchsurfing friend and saw lots of new places. But I think he has had enough ...

It also got really squishy after a few stops and I had no room to move around. At one point I even think there was some one with really bad BO near me so I kinda had to lean back discretely. Then abruptly at one stop a flood of people got off and we could once again see the floor ...

... we find the village of Kocadere. The hotel is just what we had hoped for. Quiet, rustic, oozing with character and atmosphere. How good is this? We have arrived before lunch and luckily our rooms are ready. The hotel provides breakfast and dinner daily so there is no need to drive back into Eceabat, 15 minutes away for a meal. Once we (sorry, the men) have dragged the bags up to our rooms we are off. We find the Turkish museum/war story hall. We witness ...
