    ... when the mountains are completely hidden by clouds and it’s raining heavily. I’ve come to the conclusion that it rains a lot in Croatia and Slovenia and probably much of Europe in October.

    ... after Mats expert navigation we popped out at an ice cream shop - very convenient! We stopped for a cone then continued back to Kitzeck. We got back at 4.45pm, just as the rain started.     ... that I had mixed feelings about (great that night, not so good in the morning), it was off to bed in preparation for the early train the next day. The ride to Maribor was long and much so that I turned on the expensive iPhone roaming just to pass the time.

    Maribor was just an average city. I was surprised they were the European city of culture in 2012, but even more surprised that they were still advertising the 'Maribor 2012' signs in town. ...
