... Austria with floods and snow causing transport chaos so we cannot complain. Today we tested out Mary's boots and walked the 4 km to Millstatt to access the wifi in a cafe where we had lovely goulash soup for lunch. It had stopped raining but started again after we got back for lunch. Had ...

... were all these cool old tractors passing us on the road. We got stuck behind a few too, but we didn't mind because it was really neat to see the tractors!

Before getting back to Zell am See, we stopped at a Hofer to get some groceries. And then accidentally took the tunnel again where the exit to Zell am See was closed. So we had to backtrack again to get to our apartment for the evening.

Trip from Salzburg to Lienz via Grossglockner

A travel blog entry by klooser on Sep 19, 2014

Weather sunny, very warm. Left Salzburg 10am, had a beautiful drive with colourful scenery to the toll gate for the Grossglockner Alpenhochstrasse. Leonie made the following observation of the magnificent drive: Not for those who do not like heights! Rally revheads behind the wheel of Porsche, and any others that go fast were a sight to behold and to get away from No marmots graced the hills with their ...
