Bit of a trek but private beach, pool and beautiful views. Great if you want to stay in the resort. Not great if you plan to go out anywhere.

11:20 We cut up a banana cake and everyone enjoyed it, none for Bryan!

11:25 Young Bom, one of the Thai crew gives a shout that he has spotted something on the starboard side. We all rushed to look but couldn’t see anything. Shame we can’t understand what he is saying either.

... left early. We spent the next couple of days just by the pool before we said goodbye to Devon who we had been with for a couple of weeks and got a 17 hour bus to Bangkok. On the bus ride we got off the boat and were left at a yard which was serving as a bus station in the middle of no where , and told we had to wait 3 hours for our bus. There were dogs and bugs and it was sooo hot ...

... carried on once I was on the boat and saw titan trigger fish and moray eel.
We then headed back to shore and the resort. After our usual cheap but tasty street stall sandwich we sat our exam which we both passed and got our open water qualification. After getting our advanced textbook we chilled out in the resort for the day. Usual dinner at night and then an early ...

Despite this hiccup the night was fantastic craic and one to be remembered. After Phangnan we headed to Koh Samui, a (slightly) more upmarket island catering for package tourists. We chilled here for a few nights and mainly hung around an Irish bar requesting tunes from the aul country (you can take the boy outta banbridge).

All in all a great couple of weeks and it was then onwards to cambodia!
