... a bicycle adventure. We borrowed bicycles from the hotel and rode them to the beach just like a local. Like on a real road with cars and motorcycles and traffic and one lane bridges. And, our mother will be thrilled to know that we still have all of our limbs. And our teeth. I call that a success! It wasn't too bad. ... morning, so chilled sunbathing and sea time. Went into town for drinks, cake (red velvet) and photos then a bicycle tour late into the afternoon and sunset. Seafood dinner and karaoke ha! Day 3 Last day here, really don't want to leave brekkie at cargos yum! Chilled in town popped to some shops and banana lassi in cargos. Out to breakfast opposite Maison Vy where we had perhaps Oxtongue and noodles or beef and noodles, the jury is still out on that one but it was good anyway for 30,000.
We had been invited to a birthday party later in the day and I scootered to Randy's bookstore over the Cam Nam bridge to see if I could get a book suitable for a 7 year old girl. Last night the owners of our apartment building hosted a dinner party to celebrate the Mid-Autumn/ Harvest Festival. They own our building as well as two others and are building a fourth, all along the same street. This festival is traditionally celebrated in China and Vietnam on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month..in this case September 27th.
