Before reaching Da Nang we stopped of at beautiful Lang Co beach followed by a stop at an old military site from the 'American' war (as the Vietnamese name it) on the picturesque Hai Van pass; and finally had a wander up the big stone steps of marble mountain. The drive was great value to say the least.

We arrived in Da Nang in the late afternoon and went for an Indian meal followed by a stroll along the Han river. ...
