... have just booked for Ryan and myself anyway, as in the end I didn't book it in time and we only got to the pedestal height - Liberty's feet. It wasn't necessarily the view that I was keen on though, but actually seeing the architecture and structure of Liberty herself - she's basically a shell, so I would still recommend this if you get the chance - just made sure you book ~3 months out. We climbed to the pedestal level, which was ok - provided ...

... So we could either just sit there or wait, or try and get in some other way. It was now getting late so we decided we would try and get a cab. After coming up from the subway we had totally no idea where we were. We wandered aimlessly for a bit and finally managed to hail a cab for a long slow trip into the city as of course we then hit peak hour traffic.

Considering we did no planning our mini vacation went really well. Everything fell into place, finding campsite, train into NY, we got last tickets for Statue if Liberty, last tickets last row, for Motown Musical, walked into 911 memorial without reservations! Our only hickup was getting soaked & lost one evening, all in all I'd say we packed a lot into 6 days & we needed a rest! But oh no, on we go to our next destination!!

... traffic. I have luckily already printed out our boarding passes and we breeze through security. We have to pretty much run down to the boarding gate though because it's miles away! We make it just as they call the first boarding parties. I am there, but Paul has lagged behind and now I start to really stress because I am not sure what to do, do I get on the plane and leave him, or have both of us miss the flight? I try ringing him but he has his ...
