We started our journey this morning at 3:30am being picked up by a car service that our kids gave us as an anniversary gift (30 years)! The drive was scary because the driver was not the best driver. But we arrived at Newark Airport safely at 4:30am. The airport is beautiful and we watched the sun rise over the city as we ate our $28 breakfast (2 egg sandwiches, coffee, and ...

... and enjoyed beautiful weather! Tante Siggi greeted us with open arms (we had a little trouble finding her apartment because the GPS did not recognize her address) and dinner. We dropped into bed and slept like bears!!! Much snoring could be heard all the way to downtown ...

At home, the time is 5:30am but here in Frankfort it's 11:30am. We should be boarding our next plane to Lyon within ...

... bodies and luggage waiting their turn to go through. They led us in a huge line to customs where we again went through a que to obtain our automated check in receipts, then through another que to have the receipts, our boarding passes, and our passports edifice by a real person, then through another que to finally hand over our checked luggage (yes, that's right, we'd been lugging our luggage around with us this whole time), then finally through security itself. By the time we ...

So my journey started at 2:30 central standard time when my brother Montez dropped me off at the airport. I flew to Newark, NJ with no problems.... But if you know me you know that's not the norm... Soooooo.... I had a 2 hour layover or so I thought. We had to catch a bus to another terminal which seemed pretty far, then walk to the end of the terminal to our gate which was packed. I have never in my life seen that many people waiting to board one ...
