Hence we had lunch at the campsite (warning - we have become garlic fiends; a meal sans garlic is no longer a meal!) and then went for a wander along a couple of Lagos beaches, the Marina, b4 heading back to Luz beach for a couple of sundowner Superbock beers, this at the Bull. The Bulls rear end (!) has stunning sunset views. as you may have guessed by its name, its British owned but certainly while we were there, there were no sign of ...

... but did some paddling! for lunch we headed 5km up the coast to Luz. A wonderful sunny afternoon and towards the end of it Lym did venture into what turned out to be rather too powerful surf tho he is now feeling more confident about trying to get "out back" beyond the white water, albeit usually unsuccessfully... more pracise required. Still, another day spent in mid20s temperature, few crowds and stunning scenery.

... above the river Odeceixe which runs out to the Atlantic. This was an idyllic location and though the tide was all wrong to surf, we parked up on the river bank within sight of the ocean: an absolutely fantastic location which was all ours complete with open fire. We commented on how different the Portuguese attitude is to free camping; its almost part of their constitution!

... it was pretty tame until one of the toreadors almost got trampled by one of the bulls, the dude was lucky they dulled the tip of the bulls horns.

... there, he was hilarious and exactly like a euro version of an American beach bum.
We also went to check out the lagoon, I got out for a couple tacks, the wind was super light and I crashed my kite and it deflated... fun. I had to walk my kite back through shallow water ...

... to pick up a whole bunch of people on the way but, nope, it was just the 4 of us the entire trip, until we got to the 3rd to last stop, then it was just me. I got off the bus in Lagos and I figured it was going to be quiet especially since I was the only person on the bus going to Lagos. When I arrived at my hostel, it was quiet alright. I think there was a total of about 6 guests but I was hoping that it was going to be a little busier ...

... went out on the town that night with the guys from the hostel Dan and Andy.I don't think i saw a Portuguese all night, everyone was a POME and Aussie or a kiwi both those drinking or those working behind the bar (not that there was much of a difference). ... we went out to the western most point by Lagos to watch the sunset over the Atlantic. Second day I got in with a surfing group and took a 45 min ride to a beach known for surfing. Had a good time trying to surf all day and now I am back in Sevilla recovering from my sun burn. PS. Lagos has great food. Alot more options than Spain. If you are ever in Lagos eat at a place called Nah Nah Bah. Great place, great people, great music, and great food.

... Them came so close to the boat that we could have reached over the edge and touched one. It was hard to get good pictures because we couldn´t anticipate where and when they would be surfacing. Our first night here we found our hostel, this time with only slight wandering and feelings of being lost. The hostel was full but we were sent to a woman's apartment where she had multiple rooms with many beds and she rented it out as a hostel, it was 10 Euros and when you are paying almost 19 a ...
