... then finally the hostel. yayyyy.


we ended up meeting 2 australian girls, and one girl, meng basically became our travel buddy for the trip. we spent our 2 days in tours mostly chilling at cafes drinking amazing cafe cremes, and looking at the ridiculously cute timbered houses of place plumerau. we also read trashy girl magazines in french and meng cooked us an amazing dinner. all in all tours was pretty fab.

... committed by kids. except using much smaller words. maybe at least they'll think i'm older than i look now?

btws when asked my age i replied, a true lady never reveals her age. my 2 faves in the class laughed at that one. at least someone got my jokes!


and tomorrow?
another day of very early rising to greet the bus, and go to a class that i may or may not actually have.(thanks eve)

looks like i've got my work cut out for me.....

... blue/green shutter doors. i feel all french like whenever we open and close them.

so tomorrow is my first day of school for real. eek. little nervous, its a class of terminal and then the professional school. definite potential for them to be older than me. oh *****, i already look like im 12 haha.

Just paid a fleeting visit to St Tropez on the way to Avignon (so we thought)... had to be done really.. a quick wander around and a very quick coffee. It was much smaller than I thought. Lots of nice boats but loads of tourists too.... that was about it!

... believe our luck. It was so nice. Still, warm and crystal clear water on sandy beaches. We had a quick swim but knew we had to leave to get to Avignon on time. We then decided that if we found a campsite that was open we would stay. The first 2 we came to were closed and we were sad...but around at st clair beach one was open! Woo hoo!!!! 2 very happy girls. That night we played in the sand like kids ...

I took the tourist train today, which isn't a train at all but a tractor type thing in the shape of a train with little open air carriages on the back. The water is an amazing shade of blue although the beaches have no sand, only rocks and pebbles. The hostel here is so lovely, it is clean and friendly and only a short walk ...

... anything nearly as big. To give you an idea of the grandeur of these boats, some of the private ones were as big as the ferries that go to Rottnest and back (the smaller ones). The other highlight of this place was the "Outback Australian bar" that had boomerangs and Fosters signs all over the show. Just like home eh? NICE (said 'neece') This was where I spent the majority of my time on the Côte D'Azur. I came here specifically because I found out there was a 'Europe's Famous Hostel ...

... travel stories and exchanging tips on places to go and places to stay. Five or six of us ended up staying up late into the night, drinking and playing cards. Before bed, for of us decided to go Monaco the next morning after breakfast, then said goodnight. Turns out the two Aussie girls in the group were staying in the room next to mine, so we arranged to have them wake me in the morning.
