... however they really don't do Bern any justice. We were wishing we had of stayed here overnight rather than Zurich... Lunch time stop is at the picturesque town of Montreux. Yes another 'jaw droppingly' stunning place. I think I will be using that description quite a bit during this tour! Montreux is situated on the shores of Lake Genève and wow! On our morn walk we ventured into the back streets where the real people live and discovered more hidden beauty. We walked into the town square past Louis Pasteur's home and college. We decided to have a picnic breakfast in a cute little spot once just outside the town limits, which we all enjoyed greatly. Our final day we took a bike ride along the promenade which was lovely as they have a dedicated path which makes it stress free and then the highlight was hiring an electric boat on Lake Geneva and having a swim, jumping from the boat. There are so many different boats to hire including peddle boats with slides, so many families take their kids out for an hour of fun ...

... on Saturday which didn't happen. We decided to stay for the day use the pool and WiFi shower get dressed up and leave in Elvis to park up near the village and Restaurant. When I popped into reception as a Curtesy to say we were leaving that evening at 6pm instead of the following morning she immediately offered me a nights refund. That was a very kind gesture considering we'd used all the facilities all day. Something I will remember. It also helped towards the ...

... of it over a high fence. It is just one more thing I'll have to research on the internet after I finish my trip. Lastly, I also saw lots of Nestle buildings between Lausanne and Montreux, which suggests their HQ might be here.

Tomorrow's accommodation will be at an Abbey in the town of St Maurice, on the way to Martigny. I doubt I will have Wi-Fi access for a couple of days, so please don't assume that radio silence means anything sinister has happened to me on the slopes.
