... After the obligatory Clair's and cream and double espresso, we said goodbye to Claude and headed to Vevey, a lovely coastal town with a strong artistic heritage. The walk along the promenade and back through the town took 90 minutes and was a pure joy. ... and potatoes, with a side of dried meat. Now we're not ones for fondue normally, but this was super delicious - very smooth with a creamy cheese flavor that was not too strong. We loved it. Then we washed it down with Gruyere's famous double cream and raspberries. Say no more! After lunch we toured the castle - took us 70 minutes and it was fascinating. Tired from all the walking, we headed back home, taking the metro from Grancy back to Ouchy. ....for the amount of coveted 'train spots' we managed to get our kids, I deserve another pair of cute shoes...just sayin'...

Shoving aside, once we figured out the system, we had an amazing time, enjoying our 'trip' around the park. Real miniature steam trains were working and we were amazed at how intricate the park actually was.
