... swim in. We went into town but because it was Sunday everything was closed. We went back to the lake and found out where all the people were. It was very crowded and every second person had a small bbq. There was that many bbqs that the air was thick with smoke, talk about smoke on the water. It was a little disappointing but with nothing open I suppose the locals and tourists all end up at the lake. ...

... and cool. The scenery was gorgeous and I kept imagining camping somewhere along the river. We didn't see anyone doing this but there were a few locals with their dogs swimming.

The walk ended up in the historic old part of Montreux which was nice to see and we lucked out by choosing a tucked away pub that served excellent food. After dinner we went back to Les Avants on the train and were home before 10.

Shuttling back on down the hill in the electric taxes, Tim decided to walk down, this was easily achieved & we got down in plenty of time.

General information again, the plague decimated most of Europe, following the trade routes and the nursery rhyme "ring a ring of roses" came from this.

... off with razor wire! Nice. Never mind. We can move tomorrow or stay if we've bedded in as you do! Sadly it's also pouring with rain again. This weather is beginning to get to us a little.
