    We arrived in Tournon after a night time cruise. Another quaint little town! We boarded a steam train for a trip up a mountain ( big hill really!)' , interesting guide talking about how they kept the German soldiers at bay up there, saw the train engine turn around, then headed back down the tracks.

    ... there are two routes, one "Extreme" and one "Performance". Within these two routes there are also 2 groups A & B. This way the divide up the participants into smaller ride groups. Initially Rich and I were going to do the Performance route today which involved 29 miles and 1,883 vertical feet of climbing, an easy day overall just to get the legs warm.
