... hours and forty-five minutes of it, with a nap in between. As we started our descent into Geneva, I pulled open the window shade and looked out at the snow-speckled ground. It didn't look like much at first, but as we got lower and closer to the city, these mountains grew out of nowhere! Geneva is surrounded by the Alps and the Jura. They are so huge and looked as if snow were perfectly painted on. I tried to get some pictures, but ...

... fondue. Gahhhhh!!! Very unpleasant! Saturday 4 January 2014: Sujata's last day in Geneva, wahhhhh!!! I'd had such a nice time catching up, reminiscing about old times and what we've all been up to since uni. It was great and made me feel less home-sick, but I felt sad when she left, even if I would catch up with her again in Portugal at the end of the month. It was still sad. She gave me a huge ego booster too, which I probably needed. All this time is been ...

A cool (lovely after the heat and humidity of Rome) but rainy day. We wandered over to the International Museum of Reformation. Noel loved it and I had to drag him out of the place at 1.00pm as I was very hungry. It has an amazing number of original documents, lots of interactive exhibits, good commentary and English friendly for the most part. ...
