There was a long queue at the Cathay Pacific counter...almost as long as the ones in Addis Ababa and Arba Minch...ok, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but a long queue nevertheless, and it was a good forty minutes before we were checked in and having our caffeine fix at Starbucks. At six we met up with our guide Ting Ting and the five others on our trip. They are Leonie and Max from Auckland, Stella from Perth and another couple whose names I cannot remember from Melbourne.
We all went to a Thai restaurant for dinner and meet again tomorrow morning for dim sum breakfast. Let the next part of our adventure begin.

Joyce and I spent an afternoon exploring the huge connected malls that form part of the cruise terminal. We found every possible famous boutique and worldwide name-brand clothing, jewelry and shoe designer showroom. Just getting from the shops ...
