... the different sounds and smells. Best purchase was an umbrella and it wasn't for rain! After all the power walking back to hotel for relaxing swim. Now that we know where we are, will dander to Nathan road tonight. We're told the suits have a 4 day turnaround so won't be getting fitted! Will try and remember to take more interesting photos ...

We loved the futuristic skyscrapers in Shanghai, but the sheer volume of skyscrapers in Hong Kong was somehow even more impressive, even if they do try to show them off with a slightly cheesy laser and music show every night.

We were really pleased with our choice of accommodation in this incredibly expensive city, although it wouldn't have suited everyone. We stayed in the famous (?infamous) Chung King Mansions in Kowloon, ...

... sickness, wasn't too thrilled. We had a delightful ride out with a magnificent sunset, got off and immediately joined the queue for the return journey. An hour and a half later we reached the ferry terminal again and found the Harbour ferry.

By this time it was 8 pm and time for the nightly light display on the harbour buildings . So we got the bonus of watching that which was very pretty. We then got a quick bite to eat and headed back home, just a bit later than ...

... that they were closed, because of the 'Chinese New Year Holidays'. Mission aborted, we headed back to the apartment to wash our underwear by hand and to wait until we got to Kuala Lumpur and see what we could find there.
