... point, we are now about 40 km from Santiago de Compostella. As we approached Arzua we notice a motor cycle policeman, followed by a police car, followed by about another 15 motor cycle policemen, all heading toward Arzua. Thankfully nothing appeared to be amiss when we arrived. Perhaps it had something to do with the carnival in Melide? Anyway, it had been a good day, long and tiring, but good. Once again the scenery has been lovely and despite the on again, off again drizzle ...

... the cathedral was actually another 1.5 kilometers from the albergue. Ugh! We need to hurry as it's already 10:30 a.m. and we agreed we needed to get to the cathedral by 11:15 a.m. To make sure we could get good seats for the mass. We race up the streets trying to follow the yellow way markers, which were few and far between. We finally find our hotel with a little help from some locals. At check in, we are told our room is not ready yet and we ask to clean up in the bathroom for ...

... now...my single bunk bed, I feel like a 10 year old ha! Tonight I was in the stockroom helping to do the stocktake, absolute ballache but the night went quick. It was quite rocky in the stockroom as it's below sea level, I felt quite sick but I'm all ok now!
Straight to bed tonight, I think most of us are shattered after last nights party.

... had seen earlier while cycling. There seem to be quite a number of people who call the Camino home.

Arrived at our destination about 2pm, by which time it had warmed up a little and we were able to sit outside and enjoy a drink while watching the passing parade of pilgrims. The barman served up plates of tasty steamed mussels while we waited for our mouth-watering seafood ...
