... now with all theses tourists lol. Made it to the top omg, and then walked through the long tunnel to the polished brass elevator. Hitlers long Mercedes would drive through the tunnel and he would ride up the elevator. This place was a favorite for Eva Braun to entertain. We saw the big circular conference room as well as the other rooms. This was not a place where people spent the night. I toasted Herr Hitler with a "here's to you you S.O.B ...

... fairly early to make our way to Salzburg where a lot of "the sound of music" scenes were shot and just to punish all the men on the bus Aaron played the movie. Salzburg is a lovely little town where we had a few free hours to wander around and get acquainted with it. ... have to admit, that even for a bloke, it is an amazing place! Absolutely everything in the place sparkles, from the stairs, to the tables, to the toilets..... So we spent a while there as Treas sampled everything, and bought virtually nothing, and then did a general wander around the old town which has a quite a nice feel to it, and parts date back to the 1500s. Will post this now while I still have good wifi, and try to come back to it ...

... the large Family Room with huge pictures of her 16 children, some grand children and in laws. The ceiling was magnificently painted but the pictures of her children were stunning. Many did not live very long but they are all in this room. She did not include pictures of her ancestors and considered this room all about her husband and their large family.
