... nice quiet little BBQ on the brygge....Nuh huh....when we got there we find that Haakon and Kari were there too, back from their trip North when we went south, and of course Per also arrived, and as we arrived, so did Hans and Pia and young Per the fisherman/boatie, and Knut and Nina and Rebekka and Ellen, so all-up 14!

Drove up through Sweden, and then caught the ferry from Stromstadt to Sander-fjord in Norway, about 50 km south from our intended destination of Borgestadt, and Haakon and Kari where we'd planned to stay for a few days. We just arrived at the ferry without a pre-booking, and entered the toll-booth-type entry-lane concerned about how long before departure, since it was already there, and, wouldn't you know it, we got the trainee employee.......sooooo.. ...after 15 long ...

... for right? I'll be staying with my friend and her family. They know English but I think they're anxious about speaking it around me. But hey I'm a Geordie, I don't speak English that well either!
My bags are packed, not with bikinis but with jumpers and I'm ready for the -10 weather (which is what London feels like at present) and the expensive lifestyle! Last day of term tomorrow and then my adventure begins...providing I remember to print out my ticket. Peace out. ...

... free, so I'm not complaining. I also went down to the sea at sunset again. It's become something of a habit on clear evenings. It's so pretty, so peaceful.

Friday

Friday was easily the highlight of the weekend. I, along with the other two students from UND, took the ferry across the Oslo fjord to the nearby city of Horten. For 30 Kroner ($5), we got to have fun walking around the ferry, which carried cars and semi trucks in addition to passengers. Exploring ...
