... photo for tourists!

Our next stop was the Catedral de Leon which was open for tourists. We went in, picked up audio guides and wandered around. It was built relatively promptly, most of the construction taking place over about 50 years from 1255. It was modelled on the cathedral in Reims. ... bar for the first drinks of the day! Met a yank from Virginia, Mike, 69 yo marathon runner. Funny, he is having a tough time walking, he had planned to run some of it but struggles the walk. Neat guy.
A pleasure shower tonight, lots of hot water and REAL towels. Have I impressed on you yet how wonderful a real towel is! Sheer luxury. Don't think I will ever take a towel for granted again! And......tonight we have beds with sheets, so no getting out ...
