After confirming they were serving dinner at the present time (always negotiable in Spain), we enjoyed a lovely dinner of endive salad with sautéed mushrooms followed by shrimp and mushroom risotto. ... dinner with them tonight. More stork nests abound along the way and I spot one at the town of Valverde de la Virgen (correct spelling) on the church tower (the usual place to find them) and there is a stork standing in the nest, fast asleep on his/her feet. It looks so cute but I cant help but wonder how birds or any other animal life can sleep standing on their feet, and not fall over! lol. Certainly dangerous for a stork in a nest atop ...

... contents of my backpack. The top part (the BRAIN, as Peter calls it) will hold extra Vaseline for my feet, my camera in case I see a stork(!), glasses case and a small notebook.
