... tiring. There was tons and tons of people, it looked like more than 105 but it wasn't. I swimmed freestyle. I wanted to do breastroke but it was too much for me. I got a team shirt and a cap.

This entry is going to be devoted to a picture of day to day in Innsbruck. We've been here for just over 6 weeks and we are starting to sort things out. ... sweet tooth, of course we all kept him company. On our return to Oberstaufen we detoured to the Wieskirche (white church) which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It was built in 1730 ten years after a farmer witnessed a statue oh Christ weeping. Millions of people each year make a pilgrimage to this beautiful and highly decorated Catholic Church. The dome ceiling is painted in pastel tones with murals of Christ's resurrection, the walls are white but with plenty of gilded ...

... on site which were fun to sample as we worked our way up the street to. I managed to get into a few outdoor/ski stores and like most Austrian valleys the stores are stuffed with quality gear for summer and winter. And for the geography interested readers the end of the valley holds the only skiable glacier that is open 365 days a year for alpine skiing. The other aspect of this cultural immersion is I have not thought about the Oilers once. That has been healthy for my blood pressure.
