... looks like a "Saturday afternoon park cricketer" but his results are world standard. What thu? By the way I am celebrating the win with a couple of local pilseners and looking out of the bar window at the Rhine River; more on that in the next blog. Although the flight was far too hot, when I arrived no temperature or weather condition was going to dull my mood.  I was in Germany seeing my best friend!  I got through Passport Control with the funniest German Officer ever...I have an ink dot on my cheek in my passport and he joked about where it had gone on my face.  But then through the gates and Kai was standing...no where near prepared enough for the hug I was about to through at him.  Fair to say the ...

Jake, the measuring bag boy, had a fantastic impression of me.  And rest assured, it didn't get any more normal as the night progressed.  We went through security, looked for tea and at 3:40am settled down for an English Breakfast.  Please realise at this point, that I haven't slept since 9am yesterday morning. ... maps there is no trail makers SO don't ever think of biking in Germany it's a no go
found track non rhine river and headed for home with pick your own strawberries on the way
checked out band festival ( Mayor there again )
was going to pitch tent on lawn and pretend we on way to Amsterdam bikes stil packed. Think we might try and catch tram to Duisburg tomorrow and continue from there

We caught the last train we could to make it back to Braunschweig. We had to transfer once (in Minden), then we were back in Braunschweig. The first train everybody pretty much napped, the second train we were all awake and chatty as can be.

We took the 2 buses back to Schunter again, then stopped in briefly at Holly's going away party before we all crashed. It was a really long day and a really fun ...
