... lunch drew us into a Tibetan district and we ventured apprehensively into a questionable 'restaurant' for a very strange (and not overly satisfying) lunch of yak meat rice and greasy dumplings.

Later we walked to Mao's statue in the central square and perused the vast shopping district, coming across a multitude of businesses selling wedding photography, all photoshopped to your desired finish.

... large Beiguor shopping mall for a look around. Then, that evening we joined Luke and Christina for a home-made curry and a film. It was extremely normal and pleasant.

I can't wait to get on that e-bike again! In fact, as you don't need a license here (hell, you don't even need a helmet) I might even get one myself... We'll see if the girl who's afraid of cycling in the cycle lane in Dublin can manage the horror that is insane Chinese traffic. Anyone want to post me a helmet?
