... fun to look and they are so polite and un-pushy! Dinner was a full Kashmiri meal tonight which everyone enjoyed again. And now I'm hoping for a better night's sleep as the noisy neighbours are gone: we have plug-in mosquito repellents operational as well as extra blankets for those who felt the cold last night. Plus I've dosed up the girls who have suffered slight runny noses. Now it's just the comforting sounds of life around the lake. ...

Made it to beautiful Srinegar, Kashmir. Clean(ish), beautiful and only 28degrees. A car trip to the lake, then by Shikara for the houseboats. We met Ashraf's family who are all very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately Ashraf overbooked and 3 of us singles ended up in an "annex", the must have borrowed or rented a small houseboat and moved it next to their two. Put a couple on wobbly planks between them. It is small, shabby, airless etc. the other 2 are spacious and beautiful. NOT ...
