      ... helpful lady explained that Katrina wiped out the 90 homes on Highway 90 as well as many others on 2nd through 5th avenue were destroyed from wind or water damage or storm surge in Gulfport as well as the bridge we just travelled!!

      ... more we walked the louder the gun shots became. I think they were still pretty far away and the hunters are supposed to stay away from the hiking trails but better safe than sorry.       ... I-10 where we turned east to “Biloxi”, and a campground a few miles outside of the city, “Martin Lake Resort”. After setting up camp and cleaning up we headed into Biloxi and the “Boomtown Casino” for a little time at the slot machines; we also had a delicious combination
      dinner here of ribeye steak and snow crab legs. Leaving the Boomtown Casino we visited the Golden Nugget, both casinos were the winners tonight.
