We parked in front of the small lake where we could hear a loud animal sound, it sounded like a very loud cricket, after some research we decided that it was a Cretan marsh toad. It's a beautiful day, just right for a walk. We set off along the causeway and climb up to a small church along a track, there are couple of cars parked outside, perhaps there is a service today. The track lead us to a path that dropped down the other side to a lovely bay with a long and narrow island opposite us, to one side there was another church built on a small rocky outcrop.
