got up somewhat early this morning and checked out. i went for a two hour hike up the mountain to check out the castle over looking the city of alanya. pretty impressive with a double wall around the whole thing. if i was attacking, i think i would seige it and starve the *******s inside. i think alanya for the most part is known for being a german resort town.<br><br>it took me two rides to get from alanya to antalya. the ...

... Med, once again. <br><br>We toured the ruins, I stuck my toe into the Med, and then retreated back for a little siesta. We had a time change last night, and kinda screwed my clock up.<br><br>We plan on staying here 2 nights, then on to Kas.

... I was done by sunrise.<br><br>I got to watch the sunrise twice, which was pretty cool. We were in a bay with mountains coming down and the sun rising just over them when I first saw it rise...but then we kept moving and the sun was blocked once again...so I watched it rise again.<br><br>Two sunrises didn't make me any less tired.<br><br>So I got about 4 hours of sleep that first night...at the most. That was pretty typical...maybe that's why our "relaxing" boat trip was so damned ...

Pam spent the afternoon on the hammock reading and sleeping (its a tough life) while Goose played cards whith some of the crew. Tonight most of the group went to Chimera which is a mountain which spews flames and natural gas out of but we decided to gfive this a miss and have an early ngiht ready for our 6am start to Goreme. 12 hour drive here we come.....
